213 Warren Avenue / Harold Hornburg House
The Harold O. Hornburg house was built as a wedding present by Harold Hornburg to his bride
Edna Wille. The one-and-one half story lannon stone veneered residence is set
on a concrete foundation and has a multi-gabled roof with “weather best thatched stained shingles,” suggesting the appearance of thatch. Attached to the east facade is a stone
wishing well with a “thatch” roof. The house was designed by William Brockmeyer with unput from Edna (wille)
Hornburg and was completed in 1928. Harold ornburg helped to establsh the Hornburg Ford auto dealership, a prominent
business in the Village for many years.
