The Lindale Hotel
In the spring of 1901, Hartland’s last hotel, the Lindale, opened. The building “has been erected on a thoroughly modern and hygienic plan with every
convenience.” The first floor contained the reception room, parlor, kitchen and dining room.
Ten units and a bathroom were on the second floor. The third floor was
designated as a playroom for children, compelte with hammock, swing and games.
The building was converted into a single family residence during the 1930’s. The home was torn down in 1974 to allow the construction of Hartbrook Drive
and the expansion of Highway 16.
