109 E. Capitol Drive / Frederick’s Drug Store

In 1916, George Frederick came to Hartland and purchased the drug business of Frank J. Janda. Two years later he bought this building, removed the partition that had divided it into two store and housed hi drug business in the enlarged facility. The store, which remained in the Fredrick family until 1975, was known for the soda fountain located ont he west side of the building. The fountain was discountined in the early 1960’s. The pharmacy remained an independent drug store until 2002 when the business was purchased Aurora Pharmacy.
